BORN OF TERROR- Nigeria’s Chibok Babies
(A tribute to the 21 Chibok girls)
My sweet child of Terror
Product of evils untold and horror
Do you hear the crowd’s sigh and murmur?
Evoked by the protruding belly, inflicted by my captor
Sadness drowns the joys of return and reunion
Who would love the offspring of unholy communion?
Doomed to the world to be labeled spawn of devastation
Ought we to be better off with your father in perdition?
Than to endure the harsh stares of the world’s rejection
My child of many sorrows and affliction
Born of terror, destined for oblivion.
